Marketing Poetry

That was the subject of my presentation at the Community for Literary Magazines and Presses‘ By the Glass program, which brings together members to talk ideas and strategies for independent publishers. I focused on practical ways to take advantage of poetry month momentum, as well as delved into the more complex, but doable exercise of forging campaign-based networks to help build audiences and attention around specific subject areas, taking a page from what’s happening with YA authors and the podcasting community.
